PhotoWalks are an opportunity to come together as a group, meet new people, make some friends and enjoy the outdoors; plus it’s the perfect opportunity to practice photography, develop your skills or just try something new.
I try to go on a PhotoWalk once a month, but it all depends on what else is going on in JMH world! If you are in Northants and want to join me anytime then let me know, it won’t cost you anything, I would be going anyway! If you want to organise something in particular then I am happy to chat through ideas.
Anyone and everyone is welcome – just e-mail, text or call me.
A meet-up with another local business, Bonfirecherry
Every couple of months Matthew and I meet up to chat about how things are going with our businesses. We usually use it as an excuse to try out one of the coffee shops of Northampton but this time we though we would make the most of the lovely weather and mix the chat with a PhotoWalk. Matthew found a background in an uprooted tree that he thought perfect for a head shot. If you want to do a bit of ‘Networking Outdoors’ let me know.
Trying something new
Northants lady AJ Dickens lives life to the full and is always keen to try something new, especially if its outdoors. She joined me on a PhotoWalk recently and I don’t think I have ever walked with someone who spots and hops from one photo to the other with such enthusiasm! We both learnt something new, take a look at my blog to find out more.
Artist Kerry Sage, who is based in The Sanctuary (Fine Art Studios & Gallery) in Northampton was interested in meeting with me for a PhotoWalk to get some inspiration for her abstract painting. Clipping the macro lens on to the iphone worked perfectly for her.
Enjoying the simplicity of taking photos with a phone
Like Lucy, a local student, you may take a lot of photos with a traditional DSLR camera and just want some fun exploring what the camera on your phone can do.
This was a walk in the gardens of Delapre Abbey.
A fun and interesting group activity
A PhotoWalk is a great way of getting outdoors and looking at things with a completely different eye. Walking as a group it’s amazing what different people spot.
This was a walk with friends through a local field up to the canal.
