The #JMHColourPhotoChallenge for the month of April was all about YELLOW.
Did you get involved this month and if you did, did you find yourself being a little more observant to what was around you?
If you are still at the thinking stage of posting a photo on to my FB page, its just about sharing what catches your eye (with a few words), do it, we would love to see you.
This month we have a photo from a garden in Rochester, NY State, one from a walk in Southern Spain, a Northants flower and 2 from sunny Yorkshire. Get down to the end of my 9 photos and there you will find them.
88 on the Beach
I love a beach at any time of the year. Wandering down a Spanish one on holiday over Easter I spotted these catamarans pulled up on the beach. Great fun on a windy day.
Little Irish Window
A lovely old house by the beach in Ireland. There were four little windows along this wall, all painted different colours. This yellow one, a bright pink one, green one and blue one – gorgeous splashes of colour in a grey wall. Theres some characters living in that house!
I ‘m not one for taking photos of my food, honest I’m not, but saw the yellow and, well it had to be done. Granola, raspberry yoghurt and sliced banana, delicious. Not always my breakfast, weekends go slightly more towards the fry up!
Uni’s & Marketing
We’ve got someone in our house busy revising for a’levels, first one on May 20th. So much bumf coming in from the universities he has applied to, Southampton especially, they must spend a fortune. There always seems to be something coming through the door from them.
A Shop Window Working
Visited a friend in Leeds and headed into the centre for a bit of retail therapy. This dog walker bursting through layers of paper caught my eye – well done to the window dresser. As a photo this might have too much going on. Whats the photo about for you – the reflection or the window display?
Working with some little miniatures, that are actually for dolls houses, I took a series of photos for Time for You (Northants). Took a bit of patience as they were quite fiddly to work with. This photo is saying “Walk away from the ironing board and let TFY do it for you”. As its what I call a Message Board, there is space left for their own marketing message to be added.
Have you heard of the graffiti artist Binty Bint? She sprays these lovely little colourful chickens around Northamptonshire. Have a look at her website, she sprays them on black bins, calls them Binty Bins! Georgie and I spotted this down by the canal in Northampton.
A Yellow Burger!
Ordered mini burgers for a light lunch on holiday. Wasn’t expecting them to come in a selection of yellow, red and green. Different, fun, but also a bit odd don’t you think?
A Canal Garden
A canal boat in a little marina not far from me. Looks like a full time home, so pretty with its blue paint and little yellow pansies. I would say the people on board really love their home.
Here are YELLOWS sent in from some lovely JMH friends – 4 of you this month. Love seeing any kind of photo included in this section, thank you everyone for sending them through.
Its all about WHITE for May so see you at the end of the month with a new collection of photos.
